An intelligent navigator for mobility of the disabled
Kimap is a navigator devised for people with mobility impairment. The app can be freely downloaded on all smartphones and indicates the shortest and most accessible route to reach a destination.
Kimap is an intelligent navigator that learns from users about the accessibility of routes through the use of patented algorithms. The navigator is automatically updated on the basis of surveys and data which the users themselves release as they travel along streets and pavements. When using Kimap, users can also signal the presence of new barriers and obstacles along their route.
- Definition of the best route, based on accessibility, time and distance.
- Choice of mobility aid used (manual wheelchair, scooter, power wheelchair).
- Possibility of updating maps by reporting obstacles and architectural barriers during navigation.
- The intelligent navigator collects information on accessibility from users and automatically updates routes.
